Opening Times

We are open for 51 weeks of the year, Monday – Friday.

We close over Christmas / New Year but remain open during all other Bank Holidays.

Morning Session:

8.00am – 1.00pm

Afternoon Session:

1.00pm – 6.00pm

Full Day:

8.00am – 6.00pm

Funded and non-funded places

We work in partnership with Clackmannanshire Council and can offer funded places to eligible two year olds and children from the term following their third birthday until school.

You may wish to top up your funded hours. This can be discussed with the Nursery Manager.

For non-funded places, we can offer half day sessions as well as full day sessions. Session costs can be discussed with the Nursery Manager.

Meals & Snacks

All snacks and lunches are nutritionally balanced with correct portion control, in line with ‘Setting the Table’ guidance.

We are part of the ‘Scottish Milk and Healthy Snack Scheme’.

Healthy snacks are provided in both of our AM and PM sessions. These include fresh fruit and vegetables with milk or water to drink. Drinks are freely available to all children throughout the session. A copy of the full snack menu is available within the nursery.

Our lunches are cooked in-house by our chef. Funded children are entitled to a meal as part of their Early Years funding. Non funded children can either pay for a lunch provided by the Nursery or bring in a packed lunch. There is a four-week menu which is displayed on our information board within the Nursery.

2:3 years = 1:5

3:5 years = 1:8

Outings

The children regularly go for walks in the local community: visiting the allotments, the church gardens, the community gardens, the local parks, the woods for nature trails, the library to choose books, and the shops to buy ingredients for cooking etc. We also go further afield using the bus and trains.

We enjoy larger trips to attractions in the wider community. Advance permissions will be sought prior to any trip / outing other than the immediate local area.
