Fire Station Visit on 24th July 2025

We had a very special visit from our local Fire Station crew, and what an amazing experience it was for our little learners! The children were absolutely thrilled to explore a real fire engine, hear the loud sirens, using the hose and learning all about the important job that fire fighters do in keeping our community safe.

This hands-on experience was not just fun; it was packed with valuable learning opportunities:

Ø Understanding “People Who Help Us”– The children learned about the role of fire fighters and how they help in emergencies.

Ø Language Development – New vocabulary like "hose", "rescue", "emergency", and "hydrant" sparked fantastic conversations and questions.

Ø Numeracy – We counted wheels, hoses, and ladders, and talked about how long it takes for fire fighters to respond to a call.

Ø Health & Wellbeing – The visit helped children understand fire safety in a calm and age-appropriate way, including what to do if there’s ever an emergency.

A huge thank you to the amazing fire crew who took the time to visit and inspire our children. We are so grateful for the chance to connect real-life experiences with our early learning goals.
